    1. Thanks Kylie.
I had images in mind like these:

      http://pachamamas.wordpress.com/tag/breastfeeding/
      http://www.santabanta.com/photos/goddess-saraswati/9112001-0p.htm
      http://paleothea.com/SortaSingles/Gaia.html

But no direct inspiration, or model I was working from.
The request was for a pregnant Mama and you could see the baby inside, and I kind of just ran with it... lol

  2. Very cool! This is one of my favorites that you've done. The baby in utero is so sweet and I like the placenta/brain concept- is that kind of where it was going? Placenta's are very interesting/amazing things, as well as the whole creating and birthing a human thing. :)

    1. I was going for a very connected, earthy vibe.
So the placenta looks like a tree's root system or a brain, like the Mama's hair/brain/roots.
It is a very intersting organ indeed, the placenta. :)

  3. um wow. This is incredible. The colour is perfect in it. My fav part is her hair and the expression on her face. Just how it feels in real life. :o)
