Yesterday was busy, but today I've gotten two up, so I'll cut myself some slack. :)

Bella counts:
"One, two, three... four chords" (Axis of Awesome... Don't ask. It is cool, though there is swearing which is waaaaay less than ideal).
She'll count all the way past 20, but the fingers only go as high as four or five.
Sometimes, she cracks me up far too much. :)

Innocence

Today's prompt was innocence.
We spent some of the afternoon at the library (always a popular choice).
It was so hard to choose what to draw today, but in the end I drew something that I think gets it pretty right.

Today's prompt was Happiness... I almost drew a warm gun for my husband the Beatles fan, but decided on something a little sweeter instead.

I messed up my darling girl's face, but that is less than surprising. Drawing her is far too hard, I'm almost never happy with the result (I actually am today, despite the flaws).

I was sitting on the lounge with my book and pencil trying to figure out what I wanted to draw today.
My little angel came and stood beside me and started 'reading' one of her Doctor Suess books very quietly (we'd been shopping, cycling and we played in the park, so she was a bit sedate). I spent another few moments wracking my brain and then noticed how quiet and still she was being and laid down the pencil lines as fast as I could before she moved!
No sooner did I have a decent outline than she decided it was time to toilet. I filled out the sketch in pen while my husband took care of our girl. The whole thing took less than 25 minutes.

I love it! :)

Richard and Mildred Loving (1965).
The Lovings were an interracial married couple who were criminally charged under a Virginia statute banning such marriages.
The Lovings filed suit seeking to overturn the law.
In 1967, the Supreme Court ruled in their favor, striking down the Virginia statute and all state anti-miscegenation laws as unconstitutional violations of the Fourteenth Amendment

My beautiful little family.
I see a fair few mistakes. I did my daughter no justice (did not capture her well at all). My husband's face isn't quite right... But I don't care, I love it anyway.
Looking at it makes me smile. :)
