WILD THING!
I'll colour this in at some point with either acrylics or water colours... We'll see.
Max, King of the Wild Things.
This one is for a special little someone.:)

  1. OH My This is awesome! I love that book and my boys too. Your pic is very true to the feel and look of the story. I'd hang that huge and proud on the wall, I'm sure your little special someone will adore it. Love it as a black and white, it would look great in colour too.

    1. This is absolutely being framed and hung.
Although I will have to put in the other set of whiskers on Max's wolf suit... Can't believe I forgot! lol

  2. We love that book too, neat drawing! I envy your patience to sit and draw something daily. I tried that once, then I tried once weekly, to no avail. I am quite happy instead to check out your drawings daily! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you, and you're welcome.
I have to admit, it isn't about patience for me. It's the most selfish part of my day. My daughter does love the drawings though, so maybe not so selfish... :)

Max has always been a favourite of mine too.
Although I distinctly recall reading it for the first time, and being terribly scared that the Wild Things would realise he was a little boy not a monster and eat him up... I read alot of Roald Dahl! lol :)
You might end up seeing Max in his boat as well... We'll see. :)

I had thought this book was nearly universally adored until I read the rubbish they talk about it in some Uni Children's Lit classes...
