My Happiness

Today's prompt was Happiness... I almost drew a warm gun for my husband the Beatles fan, but decided on something a little sweeter instead.
I messed up my darling girl's face, but that is less than surprising. Drawing her is far too hard, I'm almost never happy with the result (I actually am today, despite the flaws).

Today's prompt was "Street" so my Miss and I went out and sat on the front verandah in the afternoon with a big jug of water, and my sketch book. I drew the view of our street (mostly trees and part of the school) and she very happily played in her planter box full of dirt (I'd love to turn it into a mini sensory garden for her).

This is for Blast from the past...
I last painted a version of this many moons ago (2003... I was 19!) when my housemates and I stumbled onto some abandoned paints and a drop sheet in a cupboard.
There was much fun had by all (and much messing around with paint!)
Please pardon the less than flattering butt shot... lol

Some of us got paintier than others... :)

Gemini- Typography (Day three of the March photo challenge... I will admit I had forgotten, and the typographical element was an afterthought. Oops!).
Because two pairs of twins in my family have birthdays this week, and I felt like it, so here it is (this doesn't actually physically represent either set, my aunts don't look very alike, and the other set are 12 year old boys...).

I pictured this in the style of Frida Kahlo's self portraits, and didn't quite get it there, but tried hard not to pretty myself up... If only I had an epic unibrow! :)
And yes, I stole one of Frida's monkeys... What of it? :)
