Today's prompt was "Street" so my Miss and I went out and sat on the front verandah in the afternoon with a big jug of water, and my sketch book. I drew the view of our street (mostly trees and part of the school) and she very happily played in her planter box full of dirt (I'd love to turn it into a mini sensory garden for her).

That is beautiful, sounds like a lovely time while you were drawing too. I would love a verandah to sit out on :)
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely on my verandah of an afternoon... I would very much like to put some furniture out there to sit on though... lol!
DeleteIsabella adores getting her hands dirty, so we both had fun. :)
I love the diversity you bring to the Documenting Delight group. Your drawings are just awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tricia. :)
DeleteI was a little concerned about joining the group when I wasn't exactly doing the same project the rest of you were, but it's been lovely!
lovely. I am really enjoying you using the prompts this month :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome street..
Me too! Much easier. :) lol
DeleteIt is a very lovely street... The best of the five streets we've lived on in our 8 years together.
We'll be here a good long time I'd say. :)
Love the authenticity of this drawing! You are a very talented artist.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! It was a nice relaxing one to draw too. :)
DeleteYou are so lucky to have a little one that lets you have some 'you' time!! Today's picture reminded me of the house I grew up in. We had a row of those poles out the front.
ReplyDeleteI'm just thankful for the planter box full of dirt. She loves digging in it and making messes.
DeleteBecause she's been sick once we went inside she spent most of the afternoon and evening snuggled next to me or on me.
Without a distraction this street scene wouldn't have gotten done until she was crashed out and it was a night view! lol
Nice work! I could peruse your blog all night... alas, I must go to bed. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteBed is usually the sensible thing to do, but you're welcome to burn the midnight oil perusing my drawings any time. :) lol
